APWEN canvasses female engineers empowerment

The Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria has advocated for the empowerment of female engineers to fast-track growth and development.

The Chairman of the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria, Lagos Chapter, Dr Atinuke Owolabi, made this call recently during a public lecture conducted virtually in commemoration of the 2024 International Women in Engineering Day.

The theme of the lecture is “Empowering Women Engineers: Transforming Infrastructure to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals”.

Owolabi urged the state government to empower indigenous female engineers and source spare parts locally.
